Tonga Eruption Was More Massive Than An A-Bomb

New details on the powerful volcano eruption in Tonga is coming to light.

According to CNN, a report from NASA says the event occurring earlier this month was hundreds of time more powerful than the atomic bomb. A scientist in the report says the agency believes the energy from the explosion was comparable to "four to 18 megatons of TNT."

The eruption also triggered a Tsunami, left three people dead and according to Tonga officials, affected four-fifths of the population.
