One of my absolute favorite artists growing up in the early 2000s was punk rock queen Avril Lavigne. “Sk8er Boi” and “Complicated” were my absolute JAMS! And the music video for “Girlfriend” became instantly iconic.
Her last album came out in 2019 called Head Above Water. But now we’re finally getting details about the long-awaited new album from the Canadian artist. It’s called “Love Sux.” She announced the official release date which will be February 25th.
Music News says she describes the fast and fun album as a “love letter to women and self-empowerment”. She said, “It’s just pure rock’n’roll from front to back.” I cannot WAIT!
The album features guest appearances by blink-182’s Mark Hoppus on a song called “All I Wanted” and Machine Gun Kelly on the track, “Bois Lie.”
There’s also a collab with blackbear called “I Love It When You Hate Me” that dropped Friday 1/14.
What is one of your all-time favorite collaborations between 2 artists/bands? What is your favorite Avril Lavigne song?
