Just days after getting hit with a major winter storm, North Carolina, Virginia and other states are prepping for another one.
According to CNN, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam is declaring a state of emergency this time as another winter storm sets its sights on the Old Dominion. The move comes after a storm left parts of the state paralyzed this week, stranding motorists for hours on Interstate 95.
The storm is expected to hit from the mid-Atlantic to the Tennessee River Valley starting today, with as much as six to eight inches of snow forecast in some areas. My go-to meteorologist Brad Panovich is predicting west of Hickory will be seeing some snow, with the Carolina mountains taking the majority of the impact.
A fast-moving winter storm moves into the mountains late tomorrow and early Friday morning. Great news for the ski resorts. #wncwx #snOMG #ncwx #scwx #cltwx #wcnc pic.twitter.com/Fo70kHEgL7
