Now I'm not so sure I love this study. You guys know that I LOVE my celebrity gossip... but I don't know if I would say I am necessarily obsessed with one particular celeb. Except for Jlo. LOVE JLO!

The New York Post just reported that a new study published in BMC Psychology says “there is a direct association between celebrity worship and poorer performance on cognitive tests.” The study included 1,763 Hungarian adults who answered a questionnaire that researchers call the Celebrity Attitude Scale, to measure how celeb-obsessed the participants were, and then gave them two cognitive tests.

While they did find a link between obsessing over celebrities and lower cognitive action, the researchers say they need to study it further; not to look for more signs that the relationship exists, but because they can’t tell if celeb fans use up their brainpower following the famous, or if they’re obsessed with celebrities because they were already less intelligent.
