A mom of five has kicked off a debate online on BuzzFeed after posting a video about how her family handles birthday parties when only one of her kids was invited. Jeena Wilder explains, “You invite one child, you get all of us,” in a clip that shows her dancing around with her brood, ranging from four months old to nine years old. And the video wraps up with the phrase, “Don’t worry, we bring awesome gifts.”

The video has gone viral, racking up more than a million views between TikTok and Twitter, and it seems a lot of people have feelings about her whole family showing up to a party that only one kid was invited to.

BuzzFeed talked to Jeena to get a little more context about her birthday party etiquette. She explains that her husband works long hours and most days, it’s just her and the kids and she’s not okay with dropping her kids off at a party solo. But she clarifies that she always asks the parents beforehand if it’s okay to bring siblings and she always pays for the extra kids if the party is at an event space. She says she’d rather do that than risk no one showing up at a child’s party.
