This trooper had an interesting day of work, to say the least.

A Tennessee state trooper got an unexpected call earlier this week, when he helped deliver a baby on the side of the highway.

According to WTVF, Trooper Aaron Ranker was responding to a crash on Interstate 40. When the trooper arrived on the scene however, he found Sharie Madrid in labor.

Quick on his feet, Trooper Ranker was able to talk the woman through labor and she gave birth on the side of the highway. It just so happens that Trooper Ranker was an EMT before he became a trooper, so he was the perfect person to be close-by.

The mom, and baby are both healthy thanks to Trooper ranker, and you know he had an interesting story when he got home and was asked, “How was work today?!”
