High school seniors have a lot to consider when deciding where to go to college, including what the city they’ll call home for four years is like. Experts say a school’s geographical location may be just as important to a student’s success as a strong curriculum and supportive school environment.

To help teens and their parents narrow down their options, WalletHub did their research on 400 cities across the country. They compared factors including the cost of living, the quality of higher education, and the crime rate.
