From the Charlotte marathon, to live music, to drag brunches, and Fall festivals, there are plenty of events going on in Charlotte this weekend if you are looking for something to do. Here’s a list of some of the events that are going on.



Yoga with Dancing Lotus Yoga + Arts

  • Rosies Wine Garden
  • Start your Friday with a yoga flow in the garden with Dancing Lotus Yoga.

Zip-Up Day Coat Drive

  • Dilworth Neighborhood Grille
  • Help Charlotte Mechanical reach its goal of donating 6,000 coats to those in need in our community by dropping off a new or gently worn coat in this drive-thru style event.

  • Metropolitan
  • The VTGCLT (short for Vintage Charlotte) pop-up returns to Metropolitan. Expect a selection of handmade and vintage items from more than 90 local and regional vendors.

Beginner’s Indoor Gardening Workshop

  • Twigs & Figs
  • Learn the basics at this hands-on workshop covering everything from watering to repotting your plant. Ticket includes a tropical plant with a pot and plant care goodies to take home.

Decades Patio Party

  • Brewers at 4001 Yancey
  • Enjoy a ’90s-themed party featuring pizza bagel bites, Tang and Yoo-hoo cocktails, music, costume contest and ’90s sitcoms and cartoons on the patio big screen.

Cheese & Cider Pairing

  • Red Clay Ciderworks
  • Cidermaker Jay Bradish of Red Clay Ciderworks and cheese expert Rachel Klebaur of Orrman’s Cheese Shop will walk you through four different wine and cheese pairings.

The Novant Charlotte Marathon 

  • Uptown
  • Choose between the marathon, half marathon, 5K or marathon relay events. You can join in person in Uptown or run a route of your choosing.
  • 7:20am to 4pm.
  • $39-$125.

Long Creek Adventure Race

  • Whitewater Center
  • Competitors will navigate the Center, surrounding public lands and the Catawba River using coordinates to locate checkpoints scattered throughout the woods. Compete individually or as a team of two, three or four.
  • 7:30am.
  • $50-$65.

Southern Christmas Show

  • The Park Expo and Conference Center
  • Get plenty of inspiration for decking the halls at this multi-day Christmas show.
  • Times vary.
  • $5-$25.

OH Well: ISI-Dilworth ISI Elite Training 

  • Optimist Hall
  • This is a 50-minute functional training workout that’s great for all fitness levels.
  • 10am.
  • Free.

Flapjacks & Flannels

  • Brewers at 4001 Yancey
  • There will be pancakes and drink specials all day long, contests for the best flannel outfit, best beard and best mustache, axe throwing and two live music performances.
  • 11am to 10pm

Markets at 11 Friendsgiving Festival

  • Ballantyne’s Backyard
  • Find gifts for friends and family while you enjoy live music and food trucks.
  • 11am to 5pm.

Protagon1st 1-Year Anniversary

  • Lower South End
  • Protagonist LoSo is turning one and wants you to join the celebration. Starting at noon, a new beer will be released every hour on the hour until 6pm.
  • 11am to 11pm.

Santa Paws

  • Armored Cow Brewing Co.
  • Bring your pet to get a picture with Santa. For $10, you’ll get three pictures for a holiday card. Proceeds from the event will support local rescue “You and me Furever.”

ArtPop Upcycled Fashion Show

  • ArtPop Street Gallery at Innovation Barn
  • This fashion show and fundraiser will feature pieces of clothing created using upcycled ArtPop billboards.
  • 5pm.

Kokedama Workshop

  • PlantHouse
  • Learn the process of putting together your own kokedama, which is basically a plant in a moss ball. These plants are typically displayed by hanging them, so the PlantHouse team will help you secure your kokedama with twine so you can display it in your home or office.
  • 6:30pm.
  • $25.

Stargazer Music Festival 

  • Green Life Family Farms
  • Bring a blanket or a chair during this skywatch and concert experience. There will be food, drinks live music and a night market with local vendors.
  • 7pm to midnight.
  • $20.




Car Wash for a Cause 

  • Devil’s Logic Brewing
  • All proceeds from the event will go directly to RyzAbove, a local non-profit that provides fitness opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • 11am to 2pm.

  • The Music Yard
  • The game will be cast on the big screen plus there will be drink specials, food, giveaways and music from DJ Ngenius and Manny during commercial breaks.
  • Noon.

Pajama Walk

  • Freedom Park
  • This is a community walk and carnival to raise awareness and funds for Friendship Circle & ZABS Place, two local non-profits offering social opportunities, training and employment for individuals with special needs.
  • 12:30pm.
  • Free.

Yoga on the Rooftop

  • Harvey B. Gantt Center
  • This rooftop yoga session will energize you for the upcoming week. Following the practice, you can treat yourself to a self-guided tour of the Gantt Center’s galleries. Bring a mat or towel.
  • 12:30-1:30pm.
  • $10 for non-members, free for members.

Buff Faye’s “Dragtastic Divas” Drag Dinner

  • Dish
  • Enjoy a *wholesome* Sunday dinner with the divas of drag. Be sure to bring bills to “tip the dolls.”
