Lillie Monro of Halstead, U.K. says to Fox News that she’s always struggled with her weight. As a teenager, she weighed 238 pounds, but every time she tried a new diet and lost a few pounds, the weight would come back. After giving birth to her doctors, she weighed 267 pounds, and doctors told her that her weight was dangerous to her health.
Drawing inspiration from her new baby, Monro decided to tackle her weight again, but this time she did it by cutting fast food and junk food out of her diet and cooking for herself. After a year, she had lost nearly 100 pounds and, more importantly, the weight has stayed off. As an extra bonus, she says cooking at home has significantly cut her food bill each month.
