Hey MRL! I’m very excited for the holidays because not only is it my favorite time of the year, but this year I’m planning to propose to my longtime girlfriend!!! Here’s my problem – I’m spending A LOT of money to get her the perfect ring that she’s been hinting about for months. Because of that, the rest of my holiday budget is kinda slim. I want to use what’s left to buy gifts for my family, so do you think it would be bad if I don’t get her a holiday gift, since I’m giving her the ring? My buddy says I need to get her both, but I really think once she sees the ring she won’t care about a holiday gift.
