Celebrating Day Of Dead Tradition

The Day of the Dead takes place on November 1st and lasts until night of the 2nd for the Catholic
festival for all souls day. Festival commemorates the dead and calls on Roman Catholics to pray
for those who have died. There are many traditions for the Day of the Dead that can be observed throughout the year; skulls are the most important symbol and used commonly during these events. It is a celebration to honor the loved ones who have passed, a more passionate feeling, different from if we were at a funeral.

What are Sugar Skulls? Throughout the festivals, people may make skulls, either a decorative one or an edible one. The sugar skulls are often made with cane and are decorated and given as gifts. The word calavera translates as skull, so is also used to discuss other aspects of the festivities.
