A Boston street performer got the surprise of her life when her musical influence watched her perform his song. John Legend walked up to Radha Rao while she sang his song, “All Of Me” for an audience outside Faneuil Hall Marketplace in Boston.

“I started singing the song and I was enjoying myself, and I see this man wearing a trench coat and a mask and I think, ‘That looks a lot like John Legend — why would he be in Boston?'” Rao told NBC News.

Legend walked up to her and took off his mask to Rao’s surprise. She says she kept singing and says, “It was a nerve-wracking moment, but it was something I enjoyed tremendously.”

The interaction was caught on video and shared on social media. Legend thanked Rao for singing his song. She says Legend was “incredibly humble” and she will continue to balance her street performing and her job at a music technology company while she pursues being a full-time artist.
