All Aboard! The Polar Express will resume its trips to the North Pole this holiday season after a year's hiatus. The Polar Express departs from Spencer, NC at the North Carolina Transportation Museum. In order to make the trips, possible new covid precautions are being put in place this year. Before boarding the popular train ride all riders age 12 and over will have to provide either proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative test. Negative tests must be time-stamped within 27 hours of the boarding time.

Additionally, facemasks will be required on the train except when eating or drinking. Children under the age of 2 and those with disabilities who have trouble with masks will not be required to wear them.

The Polar Express Train Ride will make nightly journeys to the "North Pole" from Spencer, NC November 12-13, 19-21 and 26-28, and December 3-5, 9-12, and 14-23.
