Work-life balance is becoming more and more important for employees. But are there some states where the balance is better than others? The short answer is yes.
According to Buzzfeed, The “American Work-Life Balance Index” measured each state on the same four factors – the average number of weekly hours worked over the past 12 months, average commute time, average “Glassdoor” work-life balance review, and the state’s rank on “Gallup’s 2019 Well-Being Index.” From this, they ranked all fifty states.
Here are the top five best:
- Utah
- Vermont
- Montana
- Wyoming
- Maine
Here are the top five worst:
- Illinois
- Arkansas
- West Virginia
- Maryland
- Tennessee
