If you've ever been to Myrtle Beach you've seen the planes carrying banners flying back and forth along the beach. These usually have adds for one of the beach shops, or one I always remember is Midieval Times. Well over the weekend in Myrtle Beach one small banner plane had to make an emergency landing. The incident took place Sunday afternoon where the plane landed on the beach at 9000 N. Ocean Blvd in front of the Dunes Golf and Beah Club.

It happened about 12:30 p.m. in front of the Dunes Golf and Beach Club at 9000 N. Ocean Blvd. No injuries were reported and the pilot was the only person on board the plane. Details as to what led to the emergency landing have not been released.

Keep any eye out the next time your at Myrtle Beach and see a banner plane! This isn't a common occurrence obviously, but I hadn't ever given it much thought!
