Hot dogs are seen before the annual Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island July 4, 2016 in New York City. Joey Chestnut re-took the crown, eating 70 hot dogs and beating last year's winner Matt Stonie's 53 hot dogs consumed.

6ABC says a debate has started online on whether or not a hot dog in the shape of a round patty is still considered a hot dog.

The debate stems from a Swedesboro, New Jersey butcher shop that created a hotdog in the shape of a hamburger called the “Round Dog”. Rastelli Foods Group started as a small butcher shop owned and operated by Raymond Rastelli. Now, the business sends meat to people around the globe, including this new Round Dog.

According to a poll, 84% agree that it’s still a hotdog and 16% say it’s not.

Where do you fall? If you say it is still a hotdog, give me the reason at If you say it’s not a hot dog, tell me why and what you would call it?
