The North Carolina Aquarium noticed that their crab pots were being raided. So like any good detective, they set up cameras to catch the culprit. Turns out it was river otters that chose to raid the NC Aquarium Crab Pots. Additionally, a blue heron made an appearance for a snack as well The crab pots are located on the southside educational dock on Roanoake Island.

The aquarium posted the convicting video on Facebook. In the video, the otters can be seen snacking on the crab and playing on the dock before eventually knocking over the camera. The caption says "Watch the whole video to see a blue heron cameo, otters doing their cute poop dance, some close-ups, and zoomies. They really let us know what they think of the trail camera at the end."

While their actions may be undesirable the aquarium noted that the presence of the otters indicates that the local ecosystem is healthy.

Even if the otters chose to raid the aquarium crab pots you have to admit they are cute! I always love watching otters swim at Grandfather Mountain or the zoo!
