York County’s Windy Hill Orchard and Cider Mill Opens This Week
The Fall is back (Well, almost) and I got four words for you: Hot. Apple. Cider. Doughnuts.
Windy Hill Orchard and Cider Mill located at 1860 Black Highway in York County South Carolina is officially opening this week. On August 19th, 2021, you can grab your family and friends to visit the orchard for some early Fall fun.
We don’t need to drive all the way to the mountains for some hard cider and delicious apples. Windy Hill Orchard is a family-owned and operated apple orchard with delicious treats like u-pick apples, apple cider donuts, apple butter, hard apple cider, and more!
Pick-your-own apples start September 4th, 2021, with limited quantities available. You need to pre-purchase a reservation for picking apples and can make one here. Everyone two years of age and older must have a reservation. Beginning August 19th, Windy Hill’s Farm Stand will be open every week from Thursday to Sunday, where you can purchase apples to go and enjoy tastings. Check out some of my photos from 2019 visiting the orchard below!
Starting on October 29th, 2021, there will be a fire pit every Friday night as well. If you want to go big or go home, the Apple Harvest Festival is currently scheduled for October 16th, 2021. It’s a ticketed event with limits on attendance.
