SAN FRANCISCO - JULY 24: Bottles of Diet Coke are displayed before the start of the baseball game with the San Francisco Giants and the Atlanta Braves at AT&T Park July 24, 2007 in San Francisco, California. A study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association states that drinking diet soda can increase the risk of "metabolic syndrome," a contributor to heart disease and diabetes, by 48 percent. Seriously, how do competitive eaters do it?  I was actually in a wing eating contest once for charity.  We didn’t exactly think the timing through because the wings were still smoking hot and the roof of my mouth still hasn’t forgiven me.  With that said, I do feel like I could compete with someone when it came to chugging a specific beverage.  A competitive eater name Eric Booker just set the Guinness record for chugging 2 liters of soda.  Check it out below with a bonus burp at the end!
