These just might be my favorite Summer treat. (Well and my favorite camping snack) It's national s'mores day! Loretta Scott Crew is credited with creating the first official s'mores recipe, consisting of graham crackers, toasted marshmallows, and chocolate bars, published in 1927. Fun fact...Morrisville, North Carolina has also participated in this holiday by changing its name to S'Morrisville for the day and holding an event in the past.

I didn’t even know National S’mores Day was a real thing, but I’m glad it is. Now, we have an excuse to make this tasty S’mores cocktail!

To start, get all the ingredients necessary. You’ll need:

  • Ice
  • 1 oz. chocolate Liqueur (dark or milk chocolate)
  • 1/2 oz. Vodka
  • Chocolate syrup
  • Graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup(s) heavy cream
  • 1 Tbsp. s’mores-flavored Vodka like Three Olives S’mores Vodka
  • Marshmallows, for garnish

How To Make A S’mores Cocktail

First, combine the chocolate liqueur, regular vodka, and ice. Then, shake in a cocktail shaker.

Take the cocktail glass and rim it with chocolate syrup and crushed graham cracker pieces.

Fill the bottom of the glass with 2 tsp. of chocolate syrup (be extra generous, if you’re really feeling it.)

Then, strain the shaken mixture from the cocktail shaker into the glass.

Get a separate container and whip the S’mores flavored vodka with heavy cream until small peaks form.

To finish it off, spoon the whipped cream and vodka mixture onto the top of the cocktail.

Then, garnish the glass with a burnt marshmallow, more chocolate syrup, and more graham cracker pieces, if you want.
