Dermatologist Weighs In On The Celeb Bathing Discussion
During the experiment, one of the first things potential buyers did in the kitchen and bathroom was checked the taps to see what the water pressure was like. It’s important to check your water pressure is of normal standards before hosting viewings. To determine the pressure, you can either ask a plumber to look, or you can get a rough guide by turning your main feed tap on and off a couple of times. As buyers will be observing taps, ensure they’re clear of limescale.
An expert is chiming in on the celeb “to bathe or not to bathe” discussion.
Dr. Julie Russak, a dermatologist in New York City, said to the New York Post that she and her colleagues don’t generally recommend a long or daily shower. She explains that hot showers and lathering up “really removes and destroys the skin’s microbiome,” which plays a role in protecting the skin and is “also extremely important in overall health of the body.”
On the other hand, waiting for “the stink” is not good, because that means toxins and bad bacteria have collected too much on the body. Russak says there’s a good balance to take.
So, The Rock’s three showers a day are a bit much, but waiting until “the stink” isn’t good either. Got it!
