I feel like almost every time I get in my car now, I get mad at some driver being stupid. Road rage is not a good thing, but sometimes, with people’s driving, you can’t help it!

Did you know that 2020 was one of the deadliest years for crashes since 2017? It’s true!

If you’ve lived in Charlotte for long, you know there are certain areas that are worse than others when it comes to terrible drivers.

This month is actually National Traffic Awareness Month, and data from the High Injury Network shows us just which areas of Charlotte are the MOST dangerous.

Here are the Top 10 most dangerous driving areas in Charlotte:

  1. N Tryon Street and University City Boulevard, 60 people were killed or seriously injured

  2. Eastway Drive and Central Avenue, 52 people were killed or seriously injured

  3. Freedom Drive to Pacific Street, 51 people were killed or seriously injured

  4. The Plaza and Murdock Road, 46 people were killed or seriously injured

  5. South Tryon Street and Lions Mane Street, 42 people were killed or seriously injured

  6. Wilkinson Boulevard and Boyer Street, 38 people were killed or seriously injured

  7. West Brookshire Freeway and North Crigler Street, 37 people were killed or seriously injured

  8. West Sugar Creek Rd and I-85, 36 people were killed or seriously injured

  9. EW T Harris Boulevard and Windsor Gate Lane, 34 people killed or seriously injured

  10. West Boulevard and Ross Avenue, 34 killed or seriously injured

 

Something else that is interesting; the most dangerous times are between 4pm-6pm and 8pm-midnight.
