Officials in Florida believe all victims of the Surfside condo collapse have been accounted for. Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava told reporters 242 people have been accounted for, including the 98 who died as a result of the collapse more than a month ago.
Search teams sifted through the rubble for weeks in hopes of finding survivors. The mayor added it was the biggest non-hurricane-related emergency response ever in the Sunshine State.
Now, the identification of the 98th victim in the collapse has brought the painstaking process of searching for missing people to a close. She is 54-year-old Estelle Hedaya. Her funeral is now scheduled for next Tuesday.
