Some Couples Opting For Engagement Watches Over Rings

While lots of gals look forward to the day their S.O. puts a ring on their finger and asks them that all-important question, there seems to be a new generation of folks who are looking for something other than that big diamond ring.

According to The Daily Mail UK, there’s a new trend gaining in popularity of couples exchanging watches instead of rings. The global shopping platform Lyst claims in a new report that they are seeing a 42% increase in searches for “couple,” “engagement” and “wedding” watches.

And judging from social media, lots of folks are totally down with the idea of watches over rings, with hundreds of posts dedicated to the idea. I don't know, you can call me old fashion but I think I'll stick with the traditional engagement ring that my husband gave me 13 years ago.
