Summers in the south make me want a hot cup of coffee less and less each day. There’s nothing like walking outside in the backyard with the dog while sipping on a fresh cup of coffee and sweating before you get dressed for work. I mean it’s my ABSOLUTLE FAVORITE(Sarcasm)! However, coffee is part of my morning routine every day and it’s hard to shake. I like that caffeine pick-me-up to help get me ready for the day.
I recently discovered how to make the alternative cold brew coffee beverage and it’s more than just pouring hot coffee over ice. Basically, you make a cup of coffee as strong as you prefer, let it cool, put it in the fridge for a couple of hours and that’s it! Pour it over ice and you have your own home made cold brew coffee. I recommend making this the night before if you want it for your drive to work. Before you pour it over ice you can stir in your favorite sweetener, or regular simple syrup if you prefer a sweeter taste. The same goes if you want to add your favorite liquor for a cool summer cocktail. Watch my video below on how to do all of this!
