The MRL Morning Show

Weekdays 6:00AM-9:00AM

Summer is quickly approaching which means more time out in the sun, and for a lot of North Carolina residents that means vacations at the beach. Usually when you’re on the beach you never know what type of people you’ll see. You’ll see kids, you’ll see treasure hunters, you might even see intoxicated adults, but that is not what police are warning us against this summer.

The Oak Island Police Department are warning beachgoers to avoid any alligators who they may see relaxing on the beach. They are urging people to leave them alone, stating that they’re not going to remote the alligators just because of concern. According to the police department, the island in the Intracoastal Waterway is the gators’ natural habitat, so if you are vacationing along the shores of North Carolina – it’s likely you may see one!

Let's do a quick and apparently necessary public service announcement. There are alligators here.Leave them...
