Passengers board an American Airlines flight to Charlotte, North Carolina at San Diego International Airport on May 20, 2020 in San Diego, California. Air travel is down as estimated 94 percent due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, causing U.S. airlines to take a major financial hit with losses of $350 million to $400 million a day as nearly half of major carriers' planes sit idle. What’s your usual drink order when on a flight? Some people go for the classic glass of water to keep hydrated. Some more nervous flyers might go for a glass of ginger ale or even an alcoholic beverage to take the edge off a little.

When I was a kid, and I got to fly in an airplane, I remember it being the BEST experience. I loved the adventure of it all: packets of the plane peanuts, the view, people from all walks of life being in one place for the briefest amount of time.

But one thing I really loved the most was that I got to use the flight as an excuse to order a soda on board! My sister and I never really got to drink soda, so it was usually a Sprite for me.

Now that people are flying again, one flight attendant is sharing which drink is the most “annoying” order from the drink cart. The drink? Diet Coke!

The flight attendant recently told USA Today that Diet Coke takes the longest to pour and serve on a plane. Diet Coke’s carbonation and foaming apparently takes the longest to fizzle out before you can continue pouring into the cup. Plus, the high altitude makes it even worse.

What is something annoying you experience while flying? Do you think you could ever be a flight attendant?
