The Maney & LauRen Morning Show

Weekdays 6:00AM-9:00AM

Everyone would like to think they are a big spender when they go to Las Vegas, but betting a few hundred dollars at the craps table isn’t actually going to cut it. Well, real Vegas big spenders are sharing just how much money they go through in Sin City, and many are getting slammed for it online.

A new Twitter trend has big spenders posting the receipts from their Vegas outings and the revelations are startling. The guy who started the whole thing shared his receipt for a day party at the Encore Beach Club, with an $8,612 tab that included $312 for water, $75 for chicken nuggets and $825 for a $30 bottle of Tito’s vodka.

That post prompted others to share their outrageous bills, with one amounting to $189,375 for the Tryst nightclub at the Wynn Hotel, which included four bottles of Veuve Clicquot Yellow for $100,000 (in stores about $50 bucks each) and a $770 for a bottle of Grey Goose vodka.

While these people were pretty proud of their steep receipts, folks on social media couldn’t help but troll the big spenders.

    • “How many damn chicken fingers are on that platter?” one person commented, while another added, “They’re covered in gold.”
    • They paid $312 for this,” another shared next to a 24-pack of Fiji water which sells for $27.99.
    • Finally another noted, “I guarantee you there is not a single poor person in the world who has made a purchase nearly as stupid or frivolous as this — and yet the rich have convinced us it’s *the poor* who are “bad with money.”
