Arizona Ice Cream Shop Launches Dill Pickle Flavor

An award winning Arizona ice cream shop is offering a new unusual flavor.

Sweet Republic in Phoenix is known for its weird flavors like honey lavender or honey blue cheese. The ice cream shop is now selling their new flavor of "Dill Pickle." Owner Helen Yung says she chose the flavor because she craved it during her pregnancy four years ago.

The dill for the ice cream is sourced locally as a way to support local farmers. Yung says she gets most of her ingredients for flavors locally as a way to give back to the community. The dill pickle flavor is available at Sweet Republic's Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe Locations.
