Great news football fans! Bank of America Stadium will be open at 100% capacity for the Panthers games during the 2021 season. This also includes college games to be played at the stadium beginning with ECU v Appalachian State Labor Day weekend.

Stadium officials announced Monday that it will open at full capacity and will not require face masks or proof of vaccination for fans. The new policy will be in effect for all Panthers preseason games, as well as the Appalachian State vs East Carolina scheduled for Sept. 2. The game-day experience will essentially be normal with no masks required, no temperature checks, and no proof of vaccination required. Mobile ticketing will still remain as a way to streamline the entry process.

Last year’s capacity was capped at 7% so this is a drastic change. I know the team and fans alike will be thrilled to have the gameday atmosphere and home field advantage back! As a die-hard football fan watching on tv just isn’t the same when you’re used to being in the stadium.
