Popcorn and drink on green grass in open air cinema.

I’ve been in the mood to start thinking about fun summer activities, especially ones with movies. So, here’s a really good one that the whole family will like.

The Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens is hosting an outdoor movie night series over the next few summer weeks.

Every Wednesday, the gardens will open at 5:30 and the movie will start around sundown, which is currently around 8pm. There will also be food trucks available.

Admission is the same as usual admission for the gardens. Adults are $14.95, children ages 2-12 are $7.95, and seniors 60 and older are $12.95. Children under 2 years old are free.

The Gardens are located at 6500 S New Hope Rd, Belmont, NC 28012.

The movie schedule is as follows:

This Wednesday, May 19th: Grease (1978)

Next Wednesday, May 26th: The Princess Bride (1987)

Wednesday, June 2nd: The Lion King (1994)
