I love food, most of us do! I took a poll and found some interesting info about favorite restaurants. Someone said to try The Golden Owl. The Golden Owl Tavern is located at 9041 Robert D. Snyder Rd., Charlotte, NC 28262 on the campus of UNCC. You can awesome appetizers like smoked duck wings. Geneva said the wings went well with her Sideswipe cocktail and or the Reed’s Gold Rush cocktail. She went on to talk about the delicious Baby Back Ribs with their house dry rub, topped with some collard greens (yes, the collard greens were served stacked on top of the ribs) along with some Carolina home fries and some old ole sweet tea. Her group had one of the 8 ounce Hanger Steak with collard greens stacked on top as well and mashed potatoes along with a glass of sweet tea.

Another favorite is Chima Steakhouse located at 139 S. Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28202. No menus necessary, after you’re seated head over to the salad bar be seated and wait for those delicious well-cooked meats. Servers come around all evening with top sirloin, filet, ribs, lamb, pork, chicken, shrimp, sausage, and fish. You can wash that down with some good ole sweet tea. Finally, on a lighter budget, is Emerald Lake Restaurant located at 9750 Tournament Drive, Matthews, NC 28104. Recommendations would be to order the ½ LB Angus Beef Burger with fries, lemonade, and sweet tea. Or perhaps ordering the Turkey Club sandwich and Brussel sprouts along with a glass of sweet tea. You might also want to try the Detox and the Triple Putt Punch. Okay, now I’m hungry all over again!!!!!!!
