The Six Flags Great America theme park in Illinois is offering free tickets to people who get the COVID-19 vaccine. Illinois Gov. JB Pritzer announced Thursday that the park was offering up to 50,000 free tickets for people who get the vaccine at its location in Gurnee, IL the weekend of June 5th-6th.

Pritzker said “I know it’s been a difficult year”, but that “thanks to the life-saving power of vaccinations, it feels once again like summer’s in the air”.

Too bad you have to be a resident of the state to get the free tickets. Otherwise, I’d be getting a whole group together to go enjoy Six Flags. Who wants to help me convince Carowinds to do this? 🙂

Do you feel like you missed out on all this free stuff by getting vaccinated early?  Will these incentives convince enough people to get the U.S. to a 70 percent vaccination rate?
