Gov. Roy Cooper announced this week that he would be lifting North Carolina’s outdoor mask mandate across the state. He also announced that he will be increasing the numbers allowed for gatherings.

  • Starting Friday (April 30), facial coverings will no longer be required in outdoor settings.
  • Starting Friday (April 30), mass gathering limits will increase to 100 people indoors
  • Starting Friday (April 30), mass gathering limits will increase to 200 people outdoors

Gov. Cooper and state health officials, including MRL friend Dr. Mandy Cohen, believe that North Carolina is on track for capacity and gathering restrictions to be lifted all together June 1st.
