Can you believe we are already half way through April? This year is already flying by. It’s going to be another beautiful weekend in Charlotte, with temperatures being a little cooler than usual. If you’re itching for fun activities and events to do this weekend, I’m here for you.

Here is a list of some things going on, both virtually and in person, this weekend in the Queen City.

Earth Day Celebration Weekend

  • Anne Springs Close Greenway
  • Celebrate Earth Day at Anne Springs Close Greenway and enjoy a weekend of earth-focused events, like an art show, fishing clinics, reptile encounters, campfire snacks demos and a guided hike history.
  • 9am to 6pm.
  • Free for members, $5 for nonmembers.


West End Food Truck Friday

  •  528 S. Turner Ave.
  • Head to Blue Blaze Brewing to enjoy dishes from local food trucks paired with great brews. West End Food Truck Friday is dog- and family-friendly.

Covered Tracks: An Outdoor Murder Mystery

  •  300 Camp Road
  • Travel back in time to solve the murder of a technology titan in this immersive, outdoor experience hosted by Theater Charlotte. You and a small group of investigators will hear suspects’ testimonies, gather clues and hold your own interrogations. Groups can be booked for six to eight people.
  • 6:30pm & 8:30pm.

SlamCharlotte Poetry Slam Virtual Event

  • Online
  • Tune in to hear an impressive lineup of local poets including the current Slammaster, Bluz who is the 13th ranked individual poet in the world.
  • 8pm. Free, donations accepted.



St. Suffolk’s Day Saturday 

  • The Suffolk Punch
  • Celebrate patio season at The Suffolk Punch as they release their first-ever Sours Bottle. There will be live music, a Das Tea Cup challenge, and a patio grill out.
  • 10am to close.
  • Free.

Indian Land Fall Into Spring Festival 

  • 8746 Charlotte Highway
  • It’s all the fun of a fall festival but in the spring. Guests can enjoy live entertainment, vendors, kids’ activities, a farm zone and a lineup of excellent food trucks. Masks and social distancing are advised.
  • 10am to 9pm.
  • $5 per person, free for kids 10 and under.



  • Paradise Valley Golf Club at 110 Barton Creek Drive
  • Seltzerland, a nationally-touring hard seltzer festival, is coming to Charlotte for the first time this year. Brands participating include White Claw, Bud Light Seltzer, Natural Light Seltzer and Bravazzi among others.

Nebel’s Alley Night Market 

  • 1920 Camden Road
  • The alleys of the Design Center in South End will become an open-air market featuring 25 vendors, live jazz and delicious food from neighboring restaurants.

Spring Is In The Air Vendor Fair 

  • Sweet Southern Gals Boutique

Virtual 100 Gardens Homegrown Tomato Festival

  • This year’s Homegrown Tomato Festival is going virtual and will be held in two sessions. The first event will feature guests and speakers from around the country including Charlotte’s own Greg & Subrina Collier of Leah & Louise and Uptown Yolk.

Dover Vineyards Strawberry Festival

  • Head to Dover Vineyards for an afternoon of kids activities, live music, wine, and lots of strawberry shortcake.

  • DO GOOD Week is a local celebration of the National Volunteer Week where you can commit your time to support the work of those in Charlotte’s nonprofit community.

Yoga & Brunch

  • Certified yoga instructor Jasmine Vializ will guide you through an energizing yoga class followed by brunch at Alchemy at C3 Lab. Ticket price includes the class, one brunch item and a drink.

Pet Pop-Up at Skiptown

  • Shop locally made dog treats, pet accessories, and pet grooming products at Skiptown’s Pet Pop-Up.

2nd Annual CLT Taco Week

  • Enjoy $3 specialty tacos from more than 15 Charlotte restaurants all week long. Download the CLT Taco Week Passport for a chance to win a taco party for 15 people complete with all the fixings.

Southern Spring Fest 

  • The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery & Biergarten
  • Head to the OMB for a lively celebration of music, food, and bier. There will be bands playing the Biergarten, low country favorites like oyster Po’Boys, Louisiana crawfish boil, and a selection of barbeque, and OMB’s newly released seasonal Munzler’s Vienna Lager.
