Duke University Students Will Be Required To Show Proof Of COVID-19 Vaccine
If you are a new or returning student to Duke University you will soon be required to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination before you can enroll for the fall 2021 semester.
Duke President Vincent Price believes that widespread vaccination is the only way a “normal and robust campus life” can return to the university. Students will have to present their proof to Duke’s Student Health before they can start enrolling in courses. Documented medical and religious exemptions will be accommodated.
According to the news, Duke is the first University in the North Carolina triangle area to require proof of a COVID-19 vaccination. Last month, Duke University ordered all undergraduates to quarantine after an outbreak led to more than 180 positive COVID-19 cases.
