Last week, Gov. Roy Cooper announced that all North Carolina adults will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine beginning on April 7th. In preparation of that, the University of North Carolina System will receive 20,000 COVID-19 vaccines next week.
According to the news release, more than 27,000 vaccinations have already been given at 12 UNC institution clinics. The system has been preparing to make sure each campus is ready for the students who wish to get vaccinated.
Students are not required to get the vaccine, but the news release says it is “strongly recommended.”
