Gov. Roy Cooper removes his mask to begin a briefing on North CarolinaÕs coronavirus pandemic response Monday, Jun. 15, 2020, at the NC Emergency Operations Center in Raleigh, N.C.

Governor Roy Cooper has updated North Carolina’s executive order surrounding COVID-19.

Beginning Friday, March 26th at 5:00pm:

  • Certain businesses can operate up to 100% occupancy with safety protocols in place
    • Museums
    • Aquariums
    • Retail businesses and shops
    • Barbers/salons/personal care
  • Certain businesses can operate up to 75% capacity indoors and 100% outdoors with safety protocols in place
    • Restaurants
    • Breweries and wineries
    • Amusement parks
    • Gyms
    • Pools
  • Certain business settings can increase capacity up to 50% with safety protocols in place
    • Conference centers
    • Sports arenas
    • Bars
    • Live performance venues

Other things to note for Friday:

  • Restriction on late night sale of alcohol for on-site consumption is lifted
  • Mass gathering limit increased to 50 indoors and 100 outdoors
