While plastic straws are a thing most people don’t want to see a return, Kellogg’s is bringing back a popular straw that most people are bound to get excited about.

The company announced they will be bringing back Cereal Straws, 12 years after they were discontinued. The straws will return in two flavors –  Kellogg’s Froot Loops and Kellogg’s Cocoa Krispies. The company noted, “Kellogg is answering superfans’ petition and social media pleas to bring back its iconic Kellogg’s Cereal Straws.”

The surprise resurrection is in response to a four-year-old Change.org petition by Hannah Wade, which received over 80,000 signatures. “Froot Loops Cereal Straws were discontinued in 2009,” Wade shared. “People around the world seem to be nostalgic for this delicious treat from our childhood. Bringing back Fruit Loops Cereal Straws would bring joy to my generation and generations to come.”

Folks will have to wait a little bit though. The straws won’t return to store shelves until October and will sell for five straws for $1, 18 for $3, and 24 for $5.

And it certainly looks like people are excited by the Cereal Straws return. Check out some of the reactions below:
