The MRL Morning Show

Weekdays 6:00AM-10:00AM

We’ve all got busy lives and it gets difficult to fit everything we want to do into one day. When you’ve been doing something for a while, you probably already have a routine. If you’re trying something new, it may be a little harder for you to get into a groove.

This week at my Profile by Sanford health coaching appointment we talked about setting goals. My goal for the coming week was set in 3 parts; 1 food, 1 water and 1 exercise. Thus, I’ve decided to get my ducks in a row and figure out how I can be successful in accomplishing that goal. Here’s what I came up with!

  1. Set Fitness Goals – We’ve got to be realistic with ourselves on this. Take things one step at a time and be specific. My goal this week is to workout 2x.
  2. Increase Fluid Intake – We lose minerals and nutrients when we sweat, so it’s important to replace them with liquids. We don’t need you passing out on your first day in the gym. Let’s start on the right foot. My water intake goal this week is 64oz a day!
  3. Find a Friend to Train with – You can’t just bring any friend with you, bring someone who is going to push you to do your best. You guys can motivate each other to reach those goals! My buddy is my husband.
  4. Get Your Nutrition On Track – Eat a wide range of foods, it effects the way your body feels and works. I love having a Profile list of foods I can grab and go with!
  5. Make It About You – Whenever you lose sight of why you embarked on this journey, remind yourself of why you started. Start a vision board and put it on your bedroom wall, so you see it every morning when you get up… and don’t forget SELF CARE and ME TIME!
