This week was a big week for me. My son Jaxson turned 9months old.
I have been sharing with you all my journey to lose the baby weight, so this week I thought it was only fitting to give you all an update on how I’m doing. With the help of my Profile by Sanford coach, I feel like I’m doing pretty well! I am not exactly where I wanna be yet … but I am getting closer. I’m not going to lie to you, it’s HARD to lose the baby weight. You make progress… you plateau… you adjust …. you make more progress.
That is why our weekly appointments have been key for me. We have tweaked my food plan and talked about everything from my relationship with food to how to eat out at restaurants. Restaurants have always been my nemesis. I eat pretty well at home because, for the most part, we don’t keep junk in our house. However, I have always struggled with sitting down at a restaurant and figuring out what to order because I know there are so many hidden calories when you eat out. Steaks are smothered in butter, veggies are cooked with cheeses and other “fats” and even salad dressings can cram in the calories.
I love the fact that I can go through menus from my favorite restaurants with my coach and have a game plan for when I go out to eat or order takeout. Being able to talk through things and not just go at it alone has been so key to my journey. In fact, I feel so good about my journey thus far, I posted an “update” photo yesterday on Twitter.
