Mans best friend just because even closer.
Tennessee businessman Bill Norris recently passed away at the age of 84. In his will, he left a HUGE chunk of change to his dog. Dorris left $5 million dollars to his 8-year-old border collie, Lulu.
A friend of the businessman's named Martha Burton had already been watching the dog before his death and continues to keep the dog. The will specifies that the $5 million is to be placed in a trust to provide for Lulu’s care and that the dog should remain with Burton.
How is a dog a millionaire before I am?
While the amount seems crazy in this instance, it makes you think; it's probably not a bad idea to leave some money in your will to your pets to make sure they remain taken care of after you pass.
