13!

How many people have you slept with?’

It’s a conversation that you’re told to avoid in a relationship, but we simply can’t help but bring up. While you’re an adult, and no one can tell you how many people you should sleep with, a new study has found the number your new match is most likely to be okay with.

Back in 2016, the magic number was three. But something happened in the past five years because the goalposts have officially moved. A new survey found people are totally fine with their match racking up 13 sexual partners. In fact, just over half of those polled listed that as an “ideal number.” Sex expert Jessica Leoni believes that 13 became the sweet spot because it “guarantees that somebody is going to be experienced, adventurous, and open-minded in between the sheets.”

The survey also found that having 18 or more partners is a turn-off. But not in a slut-shaming kind of way. Having that many notches in your bedpost is supposedly a “warning sign” that you’re difficult to please. But don’t worry if you’ve had an adventurous sex life because it probably won’t even come up. The survey found only 31% of men and women surveyed said they’d want to know about their partner’s sexual history. You can read the full article here.
