When the clock struck 12, I rang in the New Year like most people, with good intentions. I thought, “2021 is gonna be different”, turns out so far it’s been a lot of the same.

However, even though we are stuck in the same rut I am determined to make this year different, to make this year count! Ever since I got pregnant with Cashton 5 years ago I vowed to lose the baby weight. Well here we are 5 years and 2 babies later and I am yet to accomplish that goal. Of course, part of that goal is to do it the right way, retaining myself to eat well and nourish my body.

You see like most people I have developed an unhealthy relationship with food. Whenever I am stressed (enter 2020) I would find myself in the kitchen with a bag of salt and vinegar potato chips in my hand. Sounds productive huh? So, about 3 weeks ago I did something for myself. I joined Profile by Sanford! They are certified health coaches, there to educate and motivate you to make better choices for your life.

Not only did they come up with a meal plan customized specifically for me, but while attending weekly meetings with my coach (they can be virtual or in-person) we talk about how I am doing both with food and stress. They are giving me both the accountability and support I have been lacking on my own. My coach has been sending me recipes that fit into my meal plan and I am learning how to make better choices instead of reaching for the chips.

They also did something really cool at our first meeting. They took a 3D body scan! We will update the scan every 6 weeks so that I can see my physical progress. Now, I can’t believe I’m about to do this but I wanna share it with you. For two reasons. One, I hope it motivates YOU! And two, to keep me accountable. I can’t wait to continue to update you on my progress, share fun recipes with you and motivate you to do something for yourself.
