Publix is expanding in the Charlotte area. The grocery stor chain announced they are working on a new develpment in Huntersville.
The store will be just over 48 thousand quare-feet in North Creek Village. The store will also hire around 130 people.
Publix is only a part of the huge development plans for that area that will eventually incorporate 60-acres of retail, restaurants, outparcel space, townhouses and single-family homes.
Construction will start in late spring, but opening dates have not been released yet.
It is wild to see how quickly Huntersville is expanding. When I first moved here, there really wasn't much in Huntersville, and now it is becoming quite an up and coming area, with many of my friends even moving that direction. I can't wait to see how different the small town outside of Charlotte will look in a few years.
