UCLA Gymnast Going Viral For Her “Black Excellence” Floor Routine
If you need a way to start your week, watching this video is a pretty good one.
I started seeing clips of this routine on social media last night, and immediately went to watch the whole video.
UCLA Gymnastics not only defeated Arizona State University this past weekend, but they are also getting lots of recognition this morning thanks to an amazing floor routine done by Nia Dennis.
Her routine celebrates “Black Excellence,” and she straight up killed it; scoring a 9.5 out of 10.
When discussing the routine, Nia had this to say: “This routine definitely reflects everything that I am today as a woman and of course I had to incorporate a lot of parts of my culture,”
This isn’t the first time that Nia has gone viral, either. Last year, Nia’s Beyonce-inspired routine went viral as well, and earner her a 9.975 out of 10 with the judges.
Needless to say, Nia is a master at creating, and executing amazing floor routines, and I am definitely a fan!
