Kiss 95.1’s Valentine’s Day Tips & More

I’ve been researching for a while now and here are some of the BEST things I could find to do for Valentine’s Day around Charlotte.

1. $-$$: Optimist Hall:

One of my favorite food halls that I’ve ever been to! Optimist Hall has a slew of different foods at not a bad cost. Drinks, food, and dessert are all offered there along with a few small boutiques to shop at. BTW, Honeysuckle Gelato is amazing with a chocolate brownie gelato vegan option! 10/10 recommend. Masks are required when ordering. There is both inside and outside space to sit, hang out, and eat with your party. Find out more info here.

2. FREE: I Heart Rail Trail:

I am trying to do this with my boo! Local artists set up light installations along the light rail and they are so beautiful!! Perfect for a photo op! I honestly love anything with nice pretty lights and this is also FREE! People attending are encouraged to wear a mask and social distance. Find more info here.

3. $$$: The Dinner Detective:

WHEN I TELL YOU THIS LOOKS SO FUN! A murder mystery dinner where you yourself might even be accused of the crime! It is about $70 a person, but this includes an entertaining show rated about PG-13 with some adult humor and a very nice meal (including non-alcoholic drinks, appetizer, salad, main course, and dessert). Guests are seated with their parties only and are required to wear a mask until seated and when not eating. Performers will wear masks at all times. Find out more info here.

4. FREE, $$: Lights and Ice Skating at the U.S. Whitewater Center:

Walking the Light Trail at the U.S. Whitewater Center is FREE! More beautiful lights to walk around and see with your date! Find out more info on light trail here. While you’re there, you can also Ice Skate! But make sure you book an appointment online first since only so many people can skate at one time due to COVID-19. Ice Skating costs $20 a person, which includes skate rentals. Find out more info on skating here.

5. $$: Fiesta Mexican Cuisine’s Trap & Paint:

With a Queen City DJ providing the music, a fully stocked bar providing you with drinks (including $5 margs!), and an art instructor providing you with a fun interactive art experience, this event looks FUN! Especially the $5 margs. Tickets are $20 and provide Sip & Paint (easel, canvas, paint, brush), free raffle ticket, free parking, live DJ, and the art instruction. Find out more info here.
