If you love Aldi, then you’re in luck, because the discount grocer is getting ready to open, not one, but two new locations in the Charlotte area in the next couple weeks.

The first is slated to open in Cornelius at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Then, later this month, a second store is slated to open in at 7864 Charlotte Highway in Indian Land.

The two new locations opening this month are part of Aldi’s $5 billion investment to renovate existing stores, and open new ones.

That investment means that Aldi is on track to become the third-largest U.S. grocery retailer by store count by the end of 2022.

Personally, I love shopping at Aldi. The only reason I don’t go too often is because I live in Charlotte and the closest store is a bit of a drive, so I’m so excited we’ll now have more options of stores to shop at. Now if only I could get my hands on one of those wine advent calendars from Aldi that keep selling out.
