Woman Wants Boyfriend To Pay Her To Be Stay-At-Home Mom

Being able to afford to be a stay-at-home mom may sound like a luxury to some moms, but this mom is a little wary of taking on the role, and actually feels she needs to be paid for it. And while that may sound outrageous, when you hear her story you may actually agree with her.

A woman shares on Reddit that she and her partner already have two kids and she’s always gone back to work after her maternity leave is over. The pair is now considering a third child, and the woman’s partner would rather her become a stay-at-home mom if they do, and he'll pay her.

She says that her boyfriend makes five times her salary and they "could easily afford for me not to work,” but since they aren’t married she’s concerned about being too dependent on her man. She’s worried about being financially vulnerable should their relationship end so she told him the only way she would stay at home is if he paid her almost $10,000 a month.
