WASHINGTON, DC - AUGUST 24: Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), is seen as U.S. Postal Service Postmaster General Louis DeJoy testifies during a hearing before the House Oversight and Reform Committee on August 24, 2020 on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is trying out a new way to reach voters, and it worked better than expected.

The 31-year-old congresswoman is encouraging her followers to join her in playing an online game called “Among Us.” She played for the first time Monday and came back yesterday for another round.

Not only did she have three hours of fun, but AOC racked up 439-thousand views, which makes it the third-highest viewed single stream in history. Streamers Pokemane and Hasanabi joined her for the game.

To me, the entire stream was awkward. Filled with technical issues with the lobby at the beginning, and then watching people gaslight and lie through their teeth was just a weird concept to me. Yet, that’s the game. And everyone seems to love it so I’m most likely on my own for this assessment.
